The launching of this new SNL community website presented a great time to offer thanks and acknowledge the great charitable deed that all of our Singles Nite Life Party patrons have done.  For the past DECADE, the Singles Nite Life Party at Hawk Hollow has been sponsoring a child in the Philippines named Alyssa, through an organization called The Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.  It has been a thrill to watch her grow up happy and healthy, receive an education and now prepare to enter college later this year!  SNL received a letter from Alyssa in early September of 2008, expressing her love, gratitude and blessings to all of you for making her support possible and giving her the many opportunities she has, which would have otherwise been denied.

Being single offers a unique opportunity for giving. Although financial charitable contributions may be difficult (or impossible) after a divorce or the death of a spouse, singles often find themselves with the gift of free time.  Rather than struggling with finding ways to fill that time, remember that time is a valuable resource that can be shared.  There are many organizations in need of your time, talents and/or treasure and it is very true...you WILL receive far more than you give when you help others in need.

The two main charities of the Singles Nite Life Party at Hawk Hollow are St. Vincent's Charities (www.stvcc.org), which helps thousands of people here in mid-Michigan and The Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (www.cfcausa.org), which sponsors children and the elderly in developing countries throughout the world.
