I've scheduled Kristi to bring her laptop to the SNL Party again this Friday (Oct. 24th) to take profile pics and help anyone that needs it with joining and/or posting profiles, profile pics, etc.  She'll be there from 8 until 11 pm again !!  Thanks to everyone that joined the last two Fridays and sorry to anyone we still couldn't get to.  We'll get to you this week !

The Sea Cruisers will be playing at the party this Friday night.  They have a HUGE following and you'll see why when you hear them.  They remain tied with the ACT III out of Jackson, MI as our two biggest crowd-drawing bands!

WOW !!  What a great Halloween party last nite!  I'm guessing there were around 80% of the people wearing costumes, which really made it hard to choose only four winners in the costume contest.  Congrats to the winners of the best men's costumes Frankenstein and Rock Star.  Congrats to the winning ladies' costumes Elvira and Little Red Riding Hood !!  All excellent costumes. 

The "SNL Party Hunks" photo from a few weeks ago has raised some questions.  In response, I'll post the "SNL Party Divas" photo from last night's party in the public photo gallery !!

Another big party at the Hawk tonight.  The members from Beginning Experience in Lansing (a singles support group) are all coming out for their annual pilgrimage to the party.  Should be a great time.  You Silver Bells people... come on out after you're frozen stiff in that 10 degree weather and party with us.  You'll get warmed up!  See you all tonight at the Hawk.

Looks like a GREAT night for a party!  We may get some new singles from our new MeetUp.com group which just formed this week.  Theresa and I needed a night off, so Nancy will be the guest host tonight.  We'll miss everyone, but have a great time and we'll see you next week!

Tonight the Sparrow Hospital 6 South Unit nurses, techs and administrators will be joining the party. Should be a blast (as always)

We scheduled Kristi through the month of December, to bring her laptop every Friday night and help people get signed up on the site. Last week was a great party and we're expecting an even bigger party this week with many people off work for the holiday break.  DJ Rick will be spinning the tunes and he NEVER disappoints the crowd.  He always plays the perfect mix of music and isn't afraid to introduce us to great new music he discovers each week.  See ya at the party all you Michiganders !!

There's no party on Wednesday (New Year's Eve)  HOWEVER ... WE'LL BE CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR BIG-TIME this Friday nite (Jan. 2nd) !!!  See everyone there.

Yikes !!  Jan. 2nd we broke a winter attendance record with just a few people short of 300 !! THAT was a party. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did.  It has been rumored that I may have had a little too much fun LOL.  Oh well... time to start ramping up for this week's party.  It's a LIVE BAND special party featuring the Sea Cruisers this Friday.  They always bring a large following of singles with them, so it'll likely be another BIG crowd.  See everyone there !

DJ Ricky will be spinning the tunes tonight !  Roads are clear and it should be a great night to party (when isn't it?) LOL

This winter continues to keep breaking records for the biggest crowds in several years.  Another 250+ week last Friday and a GREAT time.  See you all this Friday!  DJ Ricky will be back again, due to a DJ scheduling change that was necessary.  That's OK with me... Ricky rocks !!

There were quite a few people at the party last nite that I hadn't seen in several years!  Must have something to do with Valentine's Day ?  Anyway, it was great to see so many faces from the past AND so many new people again this week!  Word about the party seems to be spreading like wildfire this winter, because we had another record crowd (for winter.)  Don't forget that next Friday is one of only 3 remaining LIVE BAND parties until the patio season starts.  The ACT III Band will be the entertainment and they rock da house every time they play the party !!!

Our party just keeps gettin bigger !!  We're still breaking all kinds of attendance records with over 250 every week.  :o)  Don't forget that this Friday (March 27th) is our one and only costume bash until Halloween.  It's a 50's theme "Grease" bash and we'll have prizes for the best costumes.  The Sea Cruisers (who else) will be there to compete the atmosphere.  See you all there !!

I'm working like mad to get ready for the crowd this Friday.  I'm quite certain we'll have over 700 for this year's patio kick-off (maybe even hit a record??)  ACT III is ready, Zack's Tunes DJs are ready and promise a special show inside and chef Todd is ready!  Get ready to parrrrttttyyyyy !

The Singles Nite Life party now has a new 32" LCD High Def TV and it WILL BE set up tomorrow on the patio to watch the Wings win the Stanley Cup !!  Party on the Patio with us WITHOUT MISSING the FINAL STANLEY CUP game !

The weather looks like it's going to be WAYYY better than last week for the patio party tonite.  The Sea Cruisers will be rockin' on the patio and it should be a huge bash.  Have fun !

Every year I get e-mails asking if there's a party on Friday over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Yes... there is.  Come out and "dance off that turkey dinner" !!

It only happens every 5 or 6 years, but there is no party on Friday Dec. 25.  Merry Christmas everyone.  Check out the party next week ON New Years Day Jan. 1, 2010 !!

Sudden Impact did not disappoint us last night on the patio.  Great dance band and I hope everyone else had as much fun as me :o)  Next week is the Sea Cruisers.  They always bring a big following with them, so it should be a big crowd next week for the July 4th weekend party.

Exciting news!!!  The Frisco Band hasn't played the Hawk patio since about 2001, when Steve Henley headed for Las Vegas to play the casino circuit.  Steve happened to be in town this coming weekend and we just happened to be offered the chance to have FRISCO come back for a reunion of the original band members !  This WILL BE a party.

With this cold snap it's hard to believe that the patio opens in just over three weeks.  However, I'm sure this week's weather will all be just a distant memory by June 4th !!  Can't wait for the line-up of new bands this summer.

Looks like another great night for the patio. I've heard great feedback about having the Flyte band on the patio.  They are supposed to be very good. 

We've got another first-timer band on the patio this week.  Sudden Impact will be performing for the first time ever on the SNL patio.  The weather is going to be superb and it will be a GREAT night for a patio party.  Theresa and I are ready to par-tee !!

We did a poll of people at the party and nearly 80% voted to skip New Years Eve and have a regular Friday night party on Jan. 1st. Soooo... join us on New Years Day to party and celebrate 2010 !!  We'll have Millionaire Raffle Tickets to give away as door prizes and an HDTV set up at the back bar so you can still check the scores of the NCAA Football Bowl games while you party.  Join us.

I'm sorry to bring some bad news on New Years Eve, but a long-time attendee of the SNL Party has passed away and I thought it necessary to pass along the info.  Carol was a sweetheart and became a good friend to many of us at the party over the last several years. Carol passed away Tuesday 12-29-09 at her daughter's home and spent the last few weeks under Hospice care in Ludington, MI.  Family respects can be paid at 10a.m. followed by a service at noon this Saturday 1-2-10 in Owosso, MI at Nelson-House Funeral Home. The Nelson-House website has more info for anyone planning on attending.  Carol will be greatly missed.

Wow !!  Great party everyone. Nearly 300 people showed up for our New Years Day party and it was a GREAT time. DJ Rick rocked the house (as usual) and a big thank you to Chef Todd for the excellent food.  Until next Friday....
